Live Music by JJ Slater

Live Music by JJ Slater

JJ Slater uses guitar and vocals to share his soul and folk rock music. Returning to the Upper Midwest to play songs from his new records, some old folk and blues tunes, and road-testing material for a desert-folk-rock opera.

JJ Slater explores himself and the world around him through personal, narrative tales set to funky, blues-inflected guitar. His new record “The Silver Key,” written in Taos, NM, tells the story of an artist reaching out from behind the curtain to try and touch a world far removed. He tours with (and co-founded) family folk-funk party-starters Signature Dish, and releases song-cycle psych-folk records on his own.
